Meet at our Ride in Style Shop (81 Hester St) to enjoy complimentary bagels and juice before heading out. The ride will depart from the shop and head to Greenpoint in Brooklyn, where we'll picnic in McCarren Park. Sign-up for the WE Bike NYC Cyclofemme ride here.
Is helmet hair a deterrent to you biking as much as you'd like? Braids are the perfect biking hairstyle because they fit under a helmet and still look good if a little messy or sweaty, but can be tricky to nail on your own. In this session, we'll teach you tips and tricks for braiding your own hair and give you other bike-friendly hairstyles ideas to try. Bring your own brush and elastics if you want to practice in the class.
Finish out National Bike to Work Week with a hairstyle that works with you instead of against you!
Taught by stylist Katy Pyle and sponsored by Po Campo.
Light refreshments will be served. RSVP on Facebook.
Deck yourself and your bike out in your favorite lights and reflective gear and meet at the shop at 8:00PM. We'll take a festive downtown tour of the city that never sleeps and finish back at the shop for refreshments and a Lumos Helmet give-away to one of the participants.
Sponsored by Vespertine Reflective Fashion, Lumos Helmets, and Time's Up, a NYC based environmental organization that promotes non-polluting transportation. http://times-up.org/
